FALL on the Barricade!

There was someone I knew once. Just someone. He once said ' I was wrapped in this box where the walls screamed of self doubt and the texture was so coarse that no light known to man was able to penetrate' oddly familiar, don't you think? Everyone stumbles over the stones of self doubt every once a while, possibly when trying something new or at the brink of a life changing methodology. It's amusing that what lies at the end of the bridge is something really fresh, bad or good. Bad or good, but enough to move forward. And see, you know that! You know all the tumblr, brainy quotes with regards o this subject, all the aids that help you feel better about yourself... Yet you continue to let this affect you.. And this isn't even a real problem. It's when instead of tumbling down, you stop. This stone is no longer a stone! It's a barricade. You don't move, you don't think! You're paralyzed. And going back from that, it's ardous.
This is when you must realize that you need to start taking risk again; fall down, break a wall, jump of this metaphorical wall! Even if you injure yourself, you must fall down. And with every fall, a part of this barricade you've set up for yourself will break.
I agree when people say 'Oh, self doubt is just a part of growing up!'. It is, but it becomes a problem when something as mere as a compliment cannot be ingested by someone. When this 'part' becomes too frequent, the 'growing up' becomes difficult. And only because it has the word 'self' in it. It doesn't have to be solved alone. Involve your friends, ask people for feedback, say nice things to someone if they deserve it. 'I can't do this' 'may be Im not cut out for this?' 'I'm not capable' How do you know? You haven't allowed yourself to see the answer yet!
