Do You Love Batman

Why do we all love batman? Seriously?

The idea of masked super hero is noble. A man works for the benefit of humanity and for the safety of his loved ones, not being hurt, he puts on a mask to protect identity. And that comes at the cost of people never recognising by his real name. Quite noble.
.
And now let's talk about batman. What does he depend on? What drives him? There are arcs in comics that specifically show that if he went back in time and stopped his parents from being killed, batman wouldn't at all exist. And seeing from that and a lot of other instances, he's a man motivated by pain. And he doesn't need anyone's help. Never. (He does, he just never accepts it)

I write about this because of the (mainly) male obsession with this kind of character could be as negative as the worship of joker. Boys are told to 'be men' and we grow up idealizing heroes who can take down armies on their own with a machine gun. Which is not wrong in itself because if the hero is as weak as me, what's the bloody point? But the innate tendency of men to not to talk of hardships or their feelings just moves them farther and farther from all the support and the progress they could otherwise have. And with most men it takes three beers for them to talk about something that is close to their heart. Its okay to speak guys! It's okay to share!! The only thing that's not okay is bringing up men's problems only and only when you wanna say 'feminism should be called equalism' or whatever you made up that time
